Scent: Hot, spicy, earthy, woody and sweet - just like fresh shredded ginger
History: Has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine. Ginger was eaten to relieve liver problems, anemia, flatulence, and other digestive problems. In ancient Greece, Ginger Roots were eaten to improve digestion and as an antidote to poison. In China, it is in nearly half of their herbal remedies as well as in much of their cooking. Ginger Roots have a long history of use all around the world for morning sickness. In Japan it is also used in massage to treat spinal and joint pains.
